“Psst!  Ask my missus if it’s time to put the pasties in th’oven?”

Oswald Pryor asked this question and now Moonta Mines are putt’n pasties in th’oven for you to enjoy.

We asked visitors to the Moonta Mines what they would like to see added to the attractions currently on offer and the major request was for food and drink to be available.

Now we are excited to be delivering the MOONTA MINES PASTY CART where you can enjoy great coffee, ice cream, cool drinks, Cornish Pasties, toasted sandwiches and the traditional Cornish Cream Tea or Saffron Cake.

Our unique little cart is open daily during the school holidays (except public holidays) and is located near the Moonta Mines Museum and Moonta Tourist Train.  Sit and relax whilst you wait for the train or in between your train ride and visit to the Museum or Lolly Shop.  You can also take away if you wish.

Why not take your photo next to this iconic little van with it’s “crimp on top” as a memento of your visit to this heritage attraction of the Copper Coast.

Locals as well as visitors to our region are very welcome to visit our exciting new venture – opened on Friday 30th December 2022 – by our Mayor Roslyn Talbot.
