GREAT NEWS !!!
Today work has commenced on our Moonta Mines National Heritage Project which is a Commonwealth funded project to restore, conserve and build new experiences for this Heritage Place.
Our intention is to open up all works to the community and allow public access as we proceed with the project.
Work is commencing today and that means that the Project Teams are on site, securing the work space which includes scaffolding and fencing etc.
Just in the short term until the site is made safe for the public we are closing the Hughes Pumphouse for a little bit until work is carried out. We will reopen in about a week – but in the meantime ask for your patience around this.
We are very excited to be able to carry out this important restoration work to the Moonta Mines and appreciate your understanding.
