Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival

National Trust of South Australia are proud to be a part of the Kernewek Lowender Copper Coast Cornish Festival in May this year.  This world-renowned festival is celebrating it’s 50th year anniversary and will be held from the 15th until 21st May 2023, inclusive.

All our venues will be operating during this week.    We have added some extra experiences for you to enjoy and learn about the Cornish Miner’s and their families who settled this region, once the largest Cornish settlement outside of Cornwall.  Meet popular and well known local writer Roger Norris-Green at the Moonta Tourist Office, walk in the footsteps of the Cornish Miners and their families, make a traditional Cornish Pasty or listen to June Ladner (famous in our region) who is passionate about telling the story of her ancestors who, although extremely poor made the most of what they had and produced some sensational food for their families at the Traditional Cornish Cooking Class and demonstration”.

Start planning your visit to the festival and we will see you for some Cornish happiness at the Kernewek Lowender.
